Distribution Centre Design

Distribution Centre Design

Method & Solution

The MHE design and implementation were achieved through a proven approach encompassing three main steps.
During the conceptual design phase, the processes, equipment and general layout which will deliver the highest Return on Investment was determined. Following, a detailed design including the right equipment, best layout and system functionality laid the basis for the implementation phase. Besides instalment, organizational changes implementation, training to workforce and system modifications, a performance management process was established as a finishing touch for a continuous improvement approach.

Results

Our project management approach guaranteed the delivery of this project within time and below budget.
We realized a distribution centre that supports the handling of flat and hanging items. Enabled by adequate automation technology, high processed efficiency was achieved, leading to a performance of more than one million pieces a day.
